This spot was super interesting and tasty food.I really enjoyed the history of this little spot, especially the historic photos of Tacoma on the walls. The wait time was kinda crazy (about 40 minutes) but the reservation application they are using is pretty cool. And the wait time to get our food was kinda crazy (over 30 minutes), but the food itself was really well made.I got the fried chicken and biscuits, which I added some over easy eggs to them and they were super tasty for breakfast.Off the other plates at my table, the gravy on the chicken fried steak was wonderful and the crab omelette was delicious.I would come back here if I were in Tacoma again, but I'd probably make sure I wasn't starving by the time I got seated. The staff were all very nice.
Amazing food and service!!! We were told an hour long wait which we expected because they were packed and it was Father’s Day. They’re situated across the street from Wright Park and the Seymour Conservatory so we thought we’d take a stroll to pass the time. The wait ended up being just half hour and we were seated in a booth on the far right of the restaurant, a bit quieter than the other section. Our server Micha was a gem. We enjoyed everything that we ordered, well prepared and very flavorful. We had the classic eggs Benedict, the Southwest Benedict, the chicken and waffles and the bacon and eggs burger. The buddies or country fries that came with our orders were crispy and perfect, we substituted one side of buddies for pancakes and they were scrumptious and also larger than my face.
Overall, this place was okay. The wait was a little long (30+ minutes on a Sunday morning), but not terrible. The service was great - everyone was kind and attentive. The food was...decent.Between all 4 of us we had the pancakes, Nobburrito, Fiesta Scramble, Cali Benedict, and Stacked. The pancake was yummy - can't go wrong with fluffy pancakes butter, and syrup. The Nobburrito was large and had good flavors - get the sour cream with it too! The Fiesta Scramble was okay, but the chorizo had spices that were not very well distributed giving it a chalky flavor and texture. The Cali Benedict was tasty, but underseasoned, and the Stacked eggs were perfectly cooked but the french toast tasted like it had been gmcooked with onions, making it less than pleasing flavor-wise. I am not sure if we would come here again regularly, but we are glad to have tried it.
