After a long drive, Hickory River Smokehouse was the perfect pitstop. I had the beef brisket sandwich, and it was lovely - smoky and flavorful with just the right kick. The casual vibe and speedy service really made it easy to relax. The kids enjoyed their meals too, especially the mac n cheese, which was nicely creamy. While I did want to try their peach cobbler, it wasn’t available. Overall, a great spot for BBQ lovers - I'll definitely be back next time we’re in Decatur! 🍖
