Afghan restaurant, Gyro restaurant, Halal restaurant
A must try, especially if you’ve never had afghan food before but wanted to try. This place is definitely family owned, and the sweet woman working was the only one there. As a tip- I would recommend you don’t come here starving as the food takes a minute to get to the table. But don’t take that as a negative, the portions are huge so you won’t leave hungry. The lady was so kind and gave us a free Bolani, which is a potato and leek stuffed flatbread and it was crispy and full of flavor. Not to mention the spicy green sauce was incredible. We ordered the chicken afghan plate that comes with salad, kebabs, and kabuli (afghan spiced rice). And also the ashak and mantu, both of which are dumplings that have great spice (the mantu has beef).100% recommend this little hole in the wall to anyone
Delicious!! We brought our Afghan friends here and it was perfect because we needed halal food. Not only was it Halal, but it was so yummy!! I would give it 5 stars but it was so pricey, I just wish it was slightly cheaper.(They range about $19-22 per a plate) The lady was very friendly and did everything herself! She was so generous and brought out a soup for us to sample because she heard us talking about it (that we wanted to try because a friend said they would make it for us sometime). The decor has lots of cool pics from Afghanistan and one special one of Mecca.
The food is super tasty. There is a lady who cooks herself. She is seriously so kind every time we have been there. We never care about the price if it’s a little bit more because of her loving attitude.Sitting arrangement is enough for a family and parking is easy there.A real big Halal sign is posted on the main entrance. And you can see paintings and stuff there which ensures that its a right place.
