I felt like I had stumbled into a bustling little eatery tucked away in the heart of Havana. The menu is a love letter to classic Cuban cuisine.
I opted for the Ropa Vieja, a traditional dish of slow-cooked, and fried, shredded beef.
The beef was fork-tender and bursting with savory goodness, a perfect match for the sweet fried plantains and perfectly seasoned black beans and rice. My dining companion raved about their fresh fish of the day.
It was pan-seared to perfection, with a crispy skin and flaky, delicate flesh.
Every bite spoke of quality ingredients and a skilled hand in the kitchen. No Cuban meal is complete without a taste of something sweet, and Habana Vieja didn't disappoint.
