We stopped in here for a little snack after the library which turned out to be quite a lot of food so it really was "first dinner." Never had the veggie plate here and it was really great as was the spinach pie.I used to come here 10 plus years ago and it is just as good.I'm so glad I tried something beyond the gyro because everything was really good. Each of the items on the mezza platter had distinct flavors and we even discovered a few that hadn't had before. For example, one of them was a spicy eggplant and it was delicious! Like others have commented. The staff were really nice. The man who worked the counter, perhaps the owner was very friendly and willing to answer questions and provided suggestions as well. The ambiance was also quite nice for a block that otherwise is not very distinguished.Highly recommend coming here if you're in the Civic Center for any reason.
WOW!! Huge portions for a fair price.Service was amazing.(I'm assuming) the owner helped me out and was super friendly. After I sat down, I saw him setting up a plate and sit down for a break...Mid meal he got up to clear another patrons plate...Never have I seen a service worker stop their break to serve a customer! What amazing customer service! My food came out and I was in awe. This was easily twice what I'd expected! Could I even eat all of this? I forced myself and wiped the plate clean with my last bite of bread! The tzatziki was clearly freshly made, even had one large chunk of garlic clove (yum!!).2 thumbs up, 1 full belly, and 5+ stars!
the man at the counter was so kind! the food was great and the portions were big.we got the chicken gyro plate and chicken gyro wrap.it came with bread as well.conveniently located right next to the library too!
