Took my wife out for an anniversary lunch, lured in by the appealing ambiance from the photos.
Overall, I wasn’t greatly impressed.
The service was good, but a few odd things stood out. First, we asked to sit outside and were placed right next to the only other people on the patio.
After asking to be moved, we weren’t given drink menus because, apparently, that’s “standard practice” for the afternoon crowd.
Eventually, we got our drink menu and ordered.
My Old Fashioned was good and well-portioned, perfect for the afternoon.
The Brussels sprouts appetizer was tasty, and our waitress kept our water glasses filled. Now, the food.
I ordered the Angus burger with Parmesan fries.
The fries barely had any Parmesan, and the burger was greasy—standard pub fare at best.
My wife’s tacos, on the other hand, were good and had a nice kick.
Wish I’d gone with those. In summary, while the drink was enjoyable, the rest of the experience didn’t quite match the high price tag.

The pimento cheese BLT is very good.
My only complaint is the bacon was a little chewy and it could have used a little more pimento cheese.
I substituted aside salad for the fries.
My friend had the avocado toast with fried eggs on top and said it was great.
Our server was friendly and service was fast.

Excellent food, excellent service, easy 5 Stars.
We had the Shrimp and grits, wedge salad with salmon, Brussels sprouts, fried calamari and the strawberry gallete for dessert.
Brussels sprouts were perfectly deep fried, lightly breaded and crispy with the right amount of bacon bits, great flavor! I could have had just that and called it good.
Also highly recommend the strawberry gallete, served warm with almond ice cream for those like me who are unable to pass on dessert.
