Found a long hair in my burrito.
I used to LOVE Freebirds.
This was the time that broke the camel’s back.
The quality, taste, and attention to detail has gone down the tubes in the last 10 years.
Every single time I order to see if anything has improved, I’m let down.
Every.
Single.
Time.
I won’t be ordering from Freebirds again.

Edit: Freebirds reached out and made it right with 2 free burritos so I am upping this to a 4 star from 1 star and hoping they fix this issue. Original: The food was decent, but the price transparency was not! My wife and I ordered a bowl and a salad (per menu board $7.40 each); when we got to selecting the meat we each selected brisket which is available for a limited time.
There was no indication on the line or verbally from the employee as to an additional charge for the brisket, and the in store advertising didn’t make it obvious to me that my bowl had an extra charge (it listed a total price, not a +$0.95 like steak or beyond meat which made it easy to miss), so I assumed it was either no extra or $0.95 extra like steak.
Much to my surprise, when we paid, we had been charged $13.00 for each bowl, an extra charge of $5.60 per bowl!! I confirmed that this was accurate with the cashier, but was shocked and felt deceived.
To nearly double the price of the bowl for brisket is steep, but to not clearly disclose the related extra charge anywhere on the line (when you make your meat decision) felt deceptive.

Travis was super helpful and knowledgeable about everything on the menu and helped me make the perfect bowl.
I had only been to Freebirds once a long time ago and him taking my order turned what would have been an okay visit into a great one.
