Just had the most amazing meal at Four Seasons Dumplings yesterday ! Seriously, it was like the taste of home. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was so welcoming. There was a waitress who always had a warm smile on her face. The food? Oh man, it was out of this world! Each dish was bursting with flavor, and I couldn't get enough.
It’s a bit outside of Chicago’s actual Chinatown, but it’s less crowded in this area so it’s not as busy, which is nice because it’s quieter.Parking… you can find it on the street and it’s free on the street on Sundays. Most of the dishes are really decently priced and the servings are good enough. The salt and pepper tofu was slightly battered and very good at $12, the vegetable fried rice $10 was not too oily, but had enough vegetables, including broccoli and it wasn’t too salty, the vegetables w garlic sauce was not so great because the garlic sauce was a little bit too thick with Cornstarch so it seemed a little gelatinous and it was a bit spicy.Overall, a really good deal for your budget. They are no for their dumplings and they are really good.
The food was awesome! Service was fast, they came with dishes as they were made as opposed to waiting until everything was ready. The eggplant was the best thing we ordered, soft and gushy on the inside but crispy on the outside! Lamb and carrot dumplings were lip smacking good, pork in a pancake had a slight hint of smokiness, and the duck was fatty, crispy and delicious. My only complaint was the belt fish was extremely overcooked and dry so much so it was not eaten at all.It was the most expensive dish so I was expecting more care and delicacy.I'd go back and try everything on the menu though 😅
