Walking in without a reservation on a Saturday night, we were faced with a 1 hour wait.Yet, thanks to the speedy service, we were able to get a table within 30 minutes. The flags draped across the restaurant, accompanied by the fitting themed music in the background created a fantastic atmosphere that excited me for my meal.I do wish there was slightly more light inside, as I dislike dimly lit dining.I always want to see the delicious food I’m eating. The service was fantastic, with our lovely waitress referring to us as “friends,” always greeting us kindly and checking in on multiple occasions. We were served quickly after ordering.I got chips and guacamole as well as chicken tacos.Though I wish they served more guacamole, I still found it to be delicious: the perfect balance of lime and avocado. The chips, while slightly overcooked, were perfectly salted, rendering the chips and guac as something unbeatable. The chicken tacos were the perfect quantity of food, filling me up but not to the point of sickness. The flavors were excellent, making the experience unforgettable. My two friends who accompanied me got burritos and both throughly enjoyed them.

I usually never leave reviews, but the food here was so good I felt compelled to leave one.I’m a big fan of Mexican food and this place did it right. The queso fundido with chorizo was the best i’ve ever had.It was served with four warm flour tortillas as well.We also got the campechano ceviche which was definitely unique and tasty. The carnitas tacos were also so delicious.I could immediately tell the corn tortillas were handmade fresh and the server confirmed it when I complimented the dish.I also loved the cocktail menu.I’m a big fan of mezcal and got a mezcal margarita that was perfectly mixed.Margaritas are usually hit or miss in most places bc they tend to use cheap sour mixes that make them taste overly artificial but this one was fresh.I also tried their old fashioned which has reposado tequila as well as mezcal which was a very unique mix.Ambience was also perfect for a saturday night out.Not too loud and lights and decor set the perfect mood.If i didn’t live in NYC this would be a go-to place for me.Definitely give it a try!
