This truly was a great experience. We lucked out because we didn't have a reservation but we managed to get a seat within 15 minutes of walking in (just two dinning), but when we go back we'll get a reservation. The atmosphere is friendly and lively. It says fine dining but I noticed most diners were dressed casually. Our drinks and meal did not disappoint, tried the oysters, the chicken pate, and the tortellini with rabbit. All were beautifully plated, and tasted delicious. There were many drinks to choose from and the waiter assured me if I didn't like my first choice I could try something else. The service was perfect! The waiter was friendly and attentive just the right amount. We'll go back (and hopefully pick a pretty dessert).Give it a try if you're in to trying new things and giving your taste buds a fun adventure.
Due to the high praise this place receives, we came in a bit skeptical with our expectations and Death & Taxes hit all the high marks and exceeded those expectations as we spent the evening at an unsuspecting location - the bar.The bar staff were exceptional in every way to their in depth knowledge of the menu, wine and drink pairing recommendations and even a surprise digestif at the end of the meal. The food was delicious, well prepared and the larger than expected portion sizes were a nice surprise.Even with a reserve wine purchase (from an eye opening wine list mind you) I felt the bill didn't break the wallet considering the exceptional meal we had just experienced. What a gem.
Place is great! We booked a reservation for the weekend after Valentine's.The waiter and other staff were informative and not overbearing.Food was amazing. My husband doesn't like olives and was hesitant to get the shrimp sharing plate because of them, but I wanted it so we got it.It was our favorite dish of the night. The next day I told my friends that if I make it back out to D&T I would order 2 of this dish and call it my entrée.
