Restaurant, Caterer, Vietnamese restaurant
My boyfriend and I decided to grab lunch here. This spot has been in my bookmark collection for a while and we finally were in the area to try.We ordered the Lechon Fried Rice, the Picanha Steak, and the Pandan Coffee. Lechon Fried Rice: 8/10 The lechon pork belly was nice and soft while the skin was super crunch and crispy.I liked eating the fried rice together with the egg, the crispy skin, and rhe pork belly together in one go. Picanha Steak: 10/10 We added extra pate to ours and this spot does not skimp out on the extra pate! My boyfriend was able to finish this whole entree and had a bit leftover pate, which we mixed it in my Lechon Fried Rice.steak was soft and easy to cut.Very well executed dish with lots of flavor. Pandan Coffee: 7/10 This was good but I felt like it could’ve had a bit more coffee to it. Service was quick since we order through a QR code and then they bring the food out.
We were considering D-D delight for catering and came in to try their food. They just opened this year in the neighborhood where I grew up.Everything was delicious and had great presentation.I was surprised by uniqueness of the fusion dishes and how great everything was.Plus if you like durian, they've got smoothies! Great service too, and really comfy and nice decor.

Hi Kimberly, we're so glad we could serve you in your hometown of San Jose! And we're very happy to know you love our food and durian smoothies! Please come visit us again soon!
D-D Delight is a delightful concept that blends Latin American and Asian cuisines. You'll find whacky and fun takes on tacos, chicken and waffles, pho, ramen, etc., on their menu. Speaking of menu, the food ordering itself is done at a tablet at the counter or thru a QR code at each table. When I came in, the friendly lady working the dining room offered me sealed cup of water right away after seating me and told me how to order.Otherwise, I think I would have been a little confused and expecting to see a menu. I stopped by early in the morning (9AM) and it was very quiet with only one other table. The restaurant itself looks like it's in soft open status. There are some tasteful decors around but it also does not seem finished. My Ube Matcha tea was not only fun looking (reminds of old school Barney the dinosaur) but was very balanced in terms of sweetness and ice distribution. Both the ube part and the matcha part were creamy and smooth. Onto the main event.I went with the Short Ribs/Bone Marrow fried rice to sample one of their signature fusion dishes.I loved it, but I can see how other folks might not.The bone marrow with chimichurri sauce and the short rib/cheek were seasoned and cooked perfectly. The rice itself might be the polarizing part. The fried rice is done is a street-food style, where the rice is on the slightly greasier and crispier side. The dish as a whole is a chaotic yet coherent flavor and texture bomb.It really embodies what a fusion dish should be, in my opinion. I'll have to come back (maybe with a friend so we can try multiple dishes) and take my palate on another adventure.
