Modern Indian restaurant, Buffet restaurant, Restaurant
Food was really good- had the buffet. Service was great. Nan bread with garlic is good for garlic lovers. I do have to say that this was my first time and all was great until I left. The door is really, really soiled on the way out. The handle and edge when people put their hands is black. It made me second guess my dinner choice.
We were in the area for balloon festival and were searching for best indian places to eat. This place showed up at 3/4 th place. I called them and made a reservation for 4.The initial interaction was very friendly when other Indian places were not taking reservations they took our reservations. We went to their buffet. It was fresh flavorful and had a mix of veg and non veg items. My favorite item on buffet was saag paneer , lamb curry and gulab jamun .Everything else was also really good. They serve fresh naan on the table and their masala chai was awesome .We loved the food service ambiance and atmosphere so much that we went back again to get food to go for our trip back to Grants where we were staying.I will come back again and recommend this place to my friends and family.
The food here is delicious! About two months ago, my parents were visiting and took me and my friends out.We had previously been to Naan and Dosa but they were closed on Monday so we chose Curry Leaf.We were not sure given the new management but we were pleasantly surprised. The ambiance and service was very good as well.Overall, I would say this is on par with Naan and Dosa, another good restaurant in the area. We ordered Samosas and Pakoras for appetizers, all very good. For the main course, we ordered Tandoori Chicken (Definitely Recommend this), Chicken Tikka Masala, Aloo Gobi, and Saag Paneer.Breads (naan and roti): very good.Be sure to order the mango lassi, it was very popular among my friend group. All were very good and you can order the Saag Paneer without cream so it is not as heavy. If I had to quibble about something, it would be dessert. For dessert, we ordered Gulab Jamun, Kulfi, and Kheer (rice pudding). The dessert were good but not out of this world. The Gulab Jamun was solid but not heavenly. If you want something sweet, order dessert but it is not a must try. In summary, the appetizers, main course, and service was very good.Curry Leaf is better than many of the Indian Restaurants I’ve had in Chicago. Also the decor is solid
