Pro tip: Parking is a great indicator of how long the wait will be.
If there is no parking = super long wait. Chuy’s is All about the good time vibes and excellent location. Chuy’s is a small chain of Tex-Mex restaurants and this is arguably their best location. There are college students, early professionals, and families.
A place where y’all means all.
The queso is neon yellow, the two salsas are super yummy (hello there jalapeno ranch), and chips never stop flowing. This is not true Mexican.
This is not even “Austin style” Mexican.
This is the type of Tex-Mex your aunt from Ohio would feel familiar and comfortable with. Come for the experience and you will leave full and happy for a reasonable price.
The price is truly phenomenal for the area this place is in. All seats have great people watching.

Great experience but not a big waiting area while your table’s getting ready.
Overall great food with the chips and salsa at the beginning, the first time I’ve ever had stuffed avocado which was awesome, and my wife had the beef/chicken fajita.
Pretty cool experience for dinner and without breaking the bank!

We eat here at least once a week, sometimes two.
Yes, we like it that much! It's always consistently delicious & we have tried just about everything on the menu and love it all.
We just keep hoping they will bring back their charro beans.
Their chips are thin and usually warm and always fresh and good.
The dips are spicy, tasty and freshly made, as are the tortilla shells.
You can see them being made as you walk in to be seated.
They are so much better than the stale ones from a package.
The fajitas, etc.
are always made fresh and not from a batch made hours before.
The jalapeno ranch dip is awesome and the salsa is made is fresh and tasty.
Their service is always good and much better than many other places that are still short on staff.
If you have tried it, then you know and you go back, but if you haven't, then l encourage you to go.
It will a great experience with great food.
