My desultory experience at this establishment is what this once great nation has indeed sunk. A nation structured in a manner where cost of living is low in a tradeoff for infrastructure only functions if there is good customer service. Unfortunately, gentle reader, I know after my harrowing stop here that customer service has indeed gone the way of disco. I simply desired some fried chicken from my favorite nationwide fried chicken chain, especially because there is not a location near where I live and I happened to be in the area. As I approached, I noticed a bum going in and a bum leaving because there is a nearby shelter. Lovely. There was NO ONE at the counter - only a large roll of brown paper towels. I finally caught the attention of a gentleman who was breezing between the soda fountain, the drive-thru window and food preparation. This employee spoke NO ENGLISH. Fortunately, I speak Spanish and was able to place my order and determine the filthy soda fountain accessible to customers was not functioning and he would need to fulfill my soda order with the fountain behind the counter. This of course meant that a customer would need to: 1) attract his attention 2) speak Spanish While ordering and waiting for my food, I selected a table away from the fragrant homeless gentleman and noticed another leaving the restroom which I would have avoided but I had been on the road for over an hour and I wanted to wash my hands. Silly me. The restroom was in a state one could expect to find in a third-class section in Bangladesh, with NO SOAP! I wetted my hands and discovered the reason for the roll of paper towels on the food counter: it was taken from the restroom because there were NO NAPKINS! Thus, I had to go to the counter and tear a jagged paper towel napkin from the raw roll. My food arrived just as I saw yet another bum through the window coming off his meds as he began to entertain the customers with the spectacle of removing all of the items from his hobo backpack and smashing them on the ground. The food itself was befitting a Sugar Hill Gang lyric, in that the chicken resembled soggy cheese more than anything, all appropriately accompanied by the WORST Cajun music cranked to a deafening roar. I finally stood up to leave, hungry and unwilling to finish a meal a starving African child would reject, and caught a glimpse of a gentleman at the counter who grew impatient with not being assisted and who then JUMPED and sat on the counter to be served. I left, swimming with emotions, wondering if the customer's Spanish was proficient enough to order, and I was at that moment - in the full light of day - through the doors of perception and realized the whole time it was ME. How DARE I expect value for my time and money as advertised?! How DARE I expect a clean and safe environment in which to enjoy a tasty meal for which I paid? Once I realized truthfully *I* was the ONE, and it was ME the entire time, that: I love Big Brother.
Whoever is in charge around 2:00.That lady is worthless, she was mad that me and another male customer used the women's RR to wash our hands. We can't help it someone else was taking a dump. Then I wanted a refill, I had to go to the drive thru because the one in the lobby is shut off. They were ignoring me until I went to the side and all of the sudden every employee notice me.That so called manager raise her hand at me and I raised mine back.I told her I just want a refill. If you don't want people walking in the employee area don't give them a reason to be back there.I'm never coming back here again.I'm going to look for a new location.Besides she is to lazy to make sure this building isn't cluttered.
Generally, I love Popeyes. The food is always good and the servers are great. This location is awful though.I've been to this location a dozen times or so and there are just generally awful people here.Drunken stoned loud stumbling stinking obnoxious patrons ruining my fried chicken and zydeco. The drive thru is fine, but I don't take a lunch break just to eat at my desk.I want to enjoy the experience, but at least one patron seems to show up everytime I do to ruin it.
