This time around, visited the chuy's in Austin. Ordered the chicken fajitas, the chicken boom boom enchiladas and a chicken tortilla soup. The tortilla soup was delicious even though the soup was not served hot. The chicken in the enchiladas was not dry and was delicious. The chicken boom boom was not as good as the preparation in the Katy branch but was still really good. As is the norm, the host was pleasant, we were seated quickly. Our server Ben was attentive and made good recommendations to folks who were trying Mexican for the first time. All in all a lovely evening spent at a lovely restaurant.
We decided to try this highly-rated restaurant after a friend recommended. We were fortunate to get a table promptly in spite of the crowd. The staff was very friendly and accommodating of our dietary preferences.Once we were seated, they served chips, salsa fresca, and a tempting creamy jalapeño dip (which were complimentary). We ‘re on vegan diet and missed out on the dip but it looked enticing. We opted for a side of guacamole for the chips and we ordered vegan enchiladas and vegan quesadilla (they were just the regular ones without cheese. They did not have vegan cheese). While everything tasted good, I wouldn't label them as extraordinary.I'm sure the dishes would have tasted a lot better with the addition of cheese. However, their guacamole deserves a 5 star.It was simply delicious.
Great Tex Mex food. The Spanish Rice is a little too bland. Then on one plate the rice was hot the other cold? All the other items were good. The restaurant was not that crowded lots of tables and booths. The lady took us to a table in the very back corner.Never asked if this was good just walked away.Poor staff not well trained at all.The experience started off wrong and nobody likes cold food.
