This restaurant was listed as one of the must visit places in Annapolis in a few articles and blogs that we referred to.
We were unable to visit in the morning when the Pledge of Allegiance is read out every morning.
The veggie wrap was quite bland, nothing that some hot sauce couldn't take care of.
The fish and chips that we ordered was good.
There was a lot of noise, probably because we were seated right in front of the register.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Chick & Ruth’s crab cakes are absolutely phenomenal! If you’re in Annapolis and looking for the real taste of Maryland, this is the place to go.
The crab cakes are packed with fresh, flavorful crab meat and just the right amount of seasoning.
No filler, just pure crab perfection. The atmosphere at Chick & Ruth’s is warm and welcoming, with that classic diner vibe that makes you feel right at home.
The service was quick and friendly, and even though the place was bustling, we never felt rushed. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Chick & Ruth’s is a must-visit for anyone who loves a great crab cake.
I’ll definitely be back for more!

The vibe and the people are great; if the food were on par, this place would be 5-stars. I knew it was diner food going into it, so I wasn’t expecting to have my socks knocked off or anything.
When I asked for a recommendation, I was told the Crab Benedict was a solid choice. What I got was a bland and chewy lump of crab meat covered in an equally flavorless and unappealing hollandaise sauce.
The potatoes were partially burnt and way over-peppered and had a rather unpleasant aftertaste. Set your expectations low for the food, then go a notch or two lower, and you’ll have a great time at Chick & Ruth’s.
I wish I could’ve hung out with the staff all day and watch as they engage with the locals and each other.
