Chelo - Taste of Persia

I contacted Misah regarding catering for my birthday party for 30 people.
From the very start, Misah and his staff were polite, professional, and friendly.
My wife took me to the restaurant for lunch to sample the food a couple of days before the party.
Misah was very nice in person as well.
The food was freshly prepared and very delicious.
All the sides were good as well; the lentil soup, cucumber yogurt, and hummus.
He offered us free desserts to sample.
Their homemade baklava is so good.
When they prepare your catering order, they cook the kabob close to your pickup time so that it is hot and fresh when you get home.
They use very good quality containers for transporting the food.
Our party guests loved the food so much that we barely had any leftovers for the next day.
We will definitely eat at Chelo in the future.
It is a small hidden gem in Van Nuys.

Awesome experience at Chelo Taste of Persia! Parking: There is metered parking on Van Nuys but I prefer to park on the street called Friar which is still metered but less heavy with traffic. The storefront is between the People's Bail Bonds and FCS Insurance Services with Van Nuys Barber right at the corner.
They have daily specials and catering available too! The saffron lemon chicken kabob was tasty and soft, not dry like other places.
I actually like how it's made to order and not sitting in a warmer some where.
I got full rice but should have gotten half rice and half salad because from other pictures the salad looks really good! Hummus plate was okay. Overall, clean ambience and friendly service.
Great experience and no negatives.

Had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant! Inviting ambiance, friendly staff, and delicious dishes made with home made ingredients. Best Persian food I’ve ever tried ! Highly recommend!
