It's been a long time since I have been to a Captain D's.When I saw this one I was excited as the one in my neck of the woods closed years ago! $46 later for 3 people's dinner and I was shocked to open and see my husband's 4pc.2 fish, 2 planks dinner basically had 2 popcorn chicken pieces instead of planks. Freaking expensive of 2 bites of chicken! They used to be 2 pieces of fried chicken battered and fried like the fish and were comparable to the fish. They had taken the clams off the menu, which was sad too.But the chicken was just too much to handle! Yes I contacted them online at the web address on the receipt.They didn't give an option to upload a photo, so I'm here sharing my experience so you can check before leaving and not drive a half hour to a nursing home to share dinner and learn you had been jipped.In the plus side however, the Cassie was polite and did give me extra tarter sauce when I asked.
I used to enjoy eating at Captain D's growing up.Unfortunately, the quality seems to have gone down significantly over the years.I was there a few weeks ago and ordered a simple meal: 2 piece fish with fries and mac and cheese.The fish wasn't too bad but the mac and cheese and the fries tasted like they had been sitting around for a while just waiting for someone to eat them.I should've known better than to finish my meal but I was truly hungry and couldn't help myself.I regret that decision to this day because not even 2 hours later I threw up a good chunk of it.Mind you, I wasn't even sick at the time and I'm not allergic to anything I ate that day so the only true explanation was subpar quality control.Save your stomach and dine elsewhere lest you want to ruin your day.

Horrible experience…..again. Ordered online. Arrived and went to the door to retrieve my order. The door was locked. No signage, no one at the door. I got into the drive-thru line and waited 20 minutes before getting to the microphone. I explained that I had an online order and she said I should have come in the front door—which Was locked. The food was cold once I got it. I won’t return. This isn’t the first time I have had an experience like this.
