Chinese restaurant, Restaurant
Moved up here last year and been trying alot of Chinese places and none have been ok compared to what we use to get.Saw this place recommended so grabbed some Togo and it's now our go to for Chinese. The dinner is big enough for 2 meals, so far tried the sesame chicken and the triple delight one with low mein one with white rice and it was amazing. The taste is good, the portion is good and the price is the best. Also tried the chicken egg rolls, egg drop soup, wonton soup and fried dumplings. The sauce with the dumplings is fire, even dipped the egg roll in it 🤤🤤 the egg drop was the best around and had corn in it, I've never seen that but it was thicker and had flavor. My husband said the wonton soup was the best he has had here and tastes good it was just the wontons was a little over cooked. For Chinese I would definitely say this is the best in Omaha that we have found so far.Edit.Tried the shrimp in lobster sauce which was good and our friends got the chicken curry and loved it and the beef and broccoli and also agree it's the best Chinese in Omaha.Picture is of the triple crown delight with steamed rice and the fried dumplings.
I was looking forward to eating at this place. What a big letdown! We ordered orange chicken with noodles and Kungpao chicken with noodles. The orange chicken was like old rubbery chicken smothered with dark syrup. The Kungpao chicken was so gross, and the noodles had no flavor at all.We just had one bite and left.We will never go back. This place was empty, which should have been a red flag.
This place is a bit of a dive but I like it.Kinda run down and sad but the food is pretty good and a very fair price. My usual Chinese places are now charging $12-$15 for a lunch portion so I've started shopping around. This place is still under $10.The lunch portions are a little smaller but honestly that's probably better for me.Chinese food is higher in fat and sugar so having a little portion control isn't so bad.Every time I go there, it's the same guy who answers the phone and takes the money. He barely says anything. But that's ok.The food is hot and tasty.Sometimes I've gotten chicken that was a little tough and stringy but I've gotten that from time to time everywhere.I'm not sure if I like corn in the egg drop soup.
