Had an appointment in Old Town and stumbled on the Blue Agave Grill for lunch.Tried the Tortilla Soup, Blue Corn Enchiladas, Tequila Lime Chicken, Mango Fish Tacos, and the Coconut Rum Blondie for dessert.Great use of flavors and spices in each dish.Everyone was very happy with their food.Server Destin was attentive and friendly.Several other menu items caught our attention for next visits, like the Poblano Corn Chowder, Stuffed Rellano, Tofu Walnut Enchiladas, and Island Tuna Burger.
In the culinary constellation of Fort Collins, where eateries sprawl and vie for attention like stars in the firmament, Blue Agave Grill emerges as a celestial body whose luminescence is impossible to ignore. On a spontaneous whim, my family and I, unencumbered by the tyranny of reservations, sought refuge in its welcoming embrace. What followed was not just a meal, but an odyssey of flavor and hospitality that would leave an indelible mark on our palates and hearts. Blue Agave Grill is not merely a restaurant; it is a sanctuary where the art of cuisine and the alchemy of service merge to create an experience that transcends the ordinary. From the moment we crossed its threshold, the staff, with their seamless choreography and intuitive grasp of our needs, set a stage where culinary dreams are not just made but exceeded. The protagonist of our evening was Haven, a maître d’ of the highest order, whose service would not be out of place in the hallowed halls of Michelin-starred establishments. With an eye for detail and a heart attuned to the symphony of dining, she anticipated our every need, navigating us through the menu with the finesse of a seasoned conductor. Her recommendations were not mere suggestions but golden keys unlocking the treasures of Blue Agave’s kitchen. The cuisine itself was a testament to the culinary virtuosity that resides within the walls of Blue Agave Grill. Each dish, a canvas of flavors, was a masterstroke of the chef’s prowess, marrying traditional influences with avant-garde flair. The ingredients, fresh as the morning dew, sang harmonies on our taste buds, crafting a narrative of taste that was as compelling as it was delicious. What set Blue Agave Grill apart, however, was its unerring commitment to the art of hospitality. To accommodate a family without reservation is not just a courtesy; it is a statement of philosophy, a testament to a belief in the sanctity of the dining experience. In a world where the impersonal clutches of digitization and haste often overshadow the human touch, Blue Agave stands as a bastion of warmth and personal attention. As we departed, the echoes of our laughter mingling with the memories of a meal that was nothing short of spectacular, it was clear that Blue Agave Grill had not just served us dinner; it had bestowed upon us an experience that would be cherished, a luminous thread woven into the fabric of our family’s narrative. In Fort Collins’ tapestry of eateries, Blue Agave Grill shines resplendently, a beacon of culinary excellence and hospitality that beckons to all who seek the sublime in their dining journey.
My family and I were very much looking forward to having dinner at the Blue Agave as the reviews had been stellar. However, our experience was disappointing. It was so loud we had to shout when placing our order, so our waiter moved us to another table that wasn’t any better. It was impossible to have a conversation without really raising our voices. The guacamole appetizer was excellent, but each of four entrees were crazy spicy- as if way too much chili pepper flakes were dumped in our food. My sister in law had to send her meal back to the kitchen because of the excessive heat.We felt rushed throughout our meal.I didn’t get the salad I ordered until my entree was brought to the table and I asked about it.The waiter asked if we wanted dessert even before I finished my meal- and then brought the bill while I was still eating. We were out the door in an hour.If you want a loud, rushed, and expensive experience this is the place for you!
