Bistro Tupaz was a nice surprise.
It is a restaurant in a small shopping mall of Santa Teresa serving French and European dishes.
I had a bavette steak you don't easily find in restaurants and it was delicious.
Even if it was slightly overcooked, the meat was tender and tasty.
Cassoulet was great.
We had fresh beignets for dessert, a true treat with warm chocolate sauce.
Friendly service, as it was my husband's birthday we also left with an extra raspberry pie at no charge.
Highly recommended for good food without breaking your budget.

Relaxing place with delicious food.
Not too busy at lunch, which means a nonstressful atmosphere with a big wall of windows for good light in the afternoon.
The service is friendly, and food comes out quickly.
They don't rush you once you do have your meal.
The salads are huge, a full meal.
The Greek salad, pictured with shrimp, can also be made with chicken or beef or meat substitute or no meat at all.
I've only had their French Onion soup, which has lots of cheese, but not enough onion for me.
The shrimp is the best thing I have had here.
It is perfectly fried in a light batter that gives it just enough crunch without taking away from the taste of the shrimp.
You can substitute any of the sides for the regular chips if you choose to do so.
I always sub the chips with sweet potato fries.
When we were seated, the table was given bread with homemade orange marmalade with honey - wonderful! 😋
