Let me say the service was top notch and friendly, and the seating and parking were great for our large crowd of 10.The fries were amazing, though more just seasoned, rather than "spicy" as it says on the menu.Unfortunately, for this Texan family the brisket and pulled pork were dry and bland
DON'T EAT HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY AND HEALTH! If I could leave a 0/5 star rating I would. Not only was the food old and just sitting in a warming tray, but everything tastes like everything else. The sweet tea tasted like pickles, the Dr.Pibb tasted like cola, and the glasses and tables were dirty.my partner couldn't even tell the difference between the pulled pork and the burnt beef ends (which it wasn't even burnt ends it was just shredded beef with some liquid smoke and BBQ sauce, in both the pork and the beef). The best thing here was the onion rings. We came out from Oregon and were the unfortunate recipients of the WORST BBQ IN KANSAS, or even the US.I didn't even get down the road past the shell gas station/Xpress mart before I puked my guts out.Being someone that has worked in food most of my younger years, I know, for a fact, that the food was either yesterday's, or it was left out too long or something. You don't get sick that fast without something being SERIOUSLY wrong. The price was 40 and some change for 2 plates and an appetizer with drinks. It was terrible for the cash even if it didn't make you sick.DO NOT DINE HERE.send the health inspector or something. There is something terribly wrong. We should have just left.Even took 20 mins to get out take out boxes, they had no other customers and had three people "working".
Big Q catered a memorial we had for my father in law.The set up was prompt. We had plenty of food.Even enough for days of leftovers.I believe it was the owner who stayed the entire event making sure everything was warm and full. And the best part was everything we had ordered was DELICIOUS.We can be picky about our BBQ and my father in law was a BBQ guy.So this meal was important and it went above and beyond our expectations. I had brought in some baked goods that my FIL loved, but I had forgotten a pie server. The man (I think owner) went back to his restaurant and got one for me to use.He was so kind and I will be dreaming about the potato salad.
