Benny’s has a very unique style of pizza.
Huge.
Just huge.
I like how they created a pizza of this size, showcasing their creativity and commitment to uniqueness.
But, this overshadows one thing that most reviews don’t mention a lot.
The taste. The taste of the pizza is, well average at most.
This could be because I didn’t order a meat pizza because I don’t eat meat.
The veggie and the cheese were just “okay.” They were generous with the toppings, like very generous, the amount was insane.
But I expected that at around $6-7 a slice.
The crust was excellent, very crunchy, but got chewy after 15-20 minutes. Now, what lacked.
The sauce.
It felt flavorless, I didn’t taste that pizza sauce flavor that I do at almost every other pizza place.
The cheese.
I’m not too sure what cheese they use but it seemed very cheap or old.
No stretch and once again, no taste in the cheese.
The type of cheese used on the veggie pizza was different so there wasn’t much grease on that, but the cheese pizza had so much grease that it kinda just tasted like grease. Atmosphere was great, they just need to fix the wobbling tables. Overall, this is a one and done place, come here for the experience, not the food.
I don’t see myself coming here unless I’m taking a friend here for the first time.
The friend I came with said this was one of his favorite pizza spots and he ordered the meat pizza so that might be better than I had.
The size of the pizza blinds us into believing it’s much better than it is.
Not justified.

Aditya, Thank you for your honest review! We offer a New York style slice which is traditionally light on sauce.
We have a 5 cheese blend that has more than just mozzarella that includes provolone and parmesan which are the flavors that are different than your typical pizza joint.
Definitely not cheap or old! If too much cheese is put on a pizza (even one handful) it can make the pizza greasy.
I'll make sure to pass along your feedback to our manager to make sure the staff are properly measuring the proportions desired.

Great place for a HUGE late night slice! Benny’s has been the spot no matter what town they are in since my college years.
If there’s one in town I’m stopping by.
Benny Pennello’s is no exception, a great slice to cap off a great night!

This is a unique place.
Nice inside, very busy, though. I wouldn't say the pizza is gourmet or artesian.
But I will definitely say that they are huge! I mean huge pizzas or just the slice. The uniqueness of that makes up any difference in taste. Don't get me wrong, the pizza is just great for a party or meeting...needing to feed a lot of people, you can't go wrong!
