Asian restaurant
Great prices for what you get.The fried rice was decent and the entrees we got were all passable. The special they have going for $6 rice + entree make it worth it.The hotpot was $17 which is also a pretty good deal, but not up to the standard quality of ingredients I prefer. You get what you pay for and though this is cheaper and the broth had good flavor I would prefer to spend more for better cuts of meat and ingredients. This place is also counter service which through us off but the employees were all super nice and helpful.
It’s nice to have personal hotspot in Raleigh finally without driving to cart or Morrisville.I ordered the Sichuan Mala hotpot, the broth was delicious and came with great assortment of hotpot items. The hotpot container came with alcohol lamp underneath to keep the soup warm the whole time while eating it, just need to be careful if you are with young children. The portion was great for one person, it can be shared with two if you order some side dishes. The interior was nice and clean, will definitely be back soon!
Terribly disappointing 😕 TL;DR: Horrible flavor, dead vibe, will not return.难吃到半夜醒来还会气! 👎We read the menu on Google maps and decided to go try their Korean army stew pot mostly because of the spam and mini sausage. When we got there the cashier informed us that a lot of items are no longer available but thankfully the Korean army stew is still available. As we ordered that, he then told us the price is cheaper now, great I guess? No no no, when we got the pot, it was a weird pale-ish yellow color WITHOUT spam and mini sausage.Granted I should've noticed something strange with the price change but no one said anything about elimination of some key items of the Korean army stew, along with the strange lack of kimchi...The "ramen noodle" in the stew was this awful cheap noodles that had no texture nor taste.Okay, despite all that, there was a piece of fish that had a weird texture and definitely did not taste fresh...😰 I was just really confused throughout the entire time as what their definition of a Korean army stew or something tasty is.Oh and terrible paper bowls, just ugh... 👍One thing we did like was the fried chicken wings that the cashier recommended, unfortunately there is no photo of that cuz the stew had killed the mood. I've seen reviews online saying they liked this place, and I'd rather not doubt them and say some change has happened in the kitchen between then and now. Try at your own risk.
