Indian restaurant
My lady moved in around the corner and have been to Aroma several times in only a couple weeks now.We.Absolutely.Love.It. Seems like they're in need of staffing so maybe they're new but it doesn't matter..the experience is exquisite. The food is top tier..so many options for meat eaters (me) and vegetarians (my lady).Full flavor, options for spice level (phew!).Fun drinks. The atmosphere and decor is stunning.Room for parties/large groups, solo dining at the bar, couples. We are hands down in love with Aroma.
I'm in love with Aroma! We have eaten here and their other location a half dozen times now. They are extremely consistent and the food is just beautiful. The interior of the restaurant itself is fun and hip.Very tastefully done.Service has always been very prompt and courteous. On this trip I decided to try something different for my entrée.Previously, I have had the tiki masala and the korma both of which are outstanding.I was looking over their extensive vegetarian options and was guided to that Baingan Bharta. For the appetizer, I stuck with the tandoori chicken, which I love.I also order everything mild because I don’t like a lot of heat.I also ordered the garlic Nan, which is delicious. As usual, the tandoori chicken came out, moist, tender, and such a sophisticated taste.Absolutely delicious.I really enjoyed the mint and tamarind chutney's as well. The main course, Baingan Bharta, was heaven in every bite.Such a beautifully spiced dish should not be overlooked.I highly recommend you try it.I normally order from there non-vegetable entrées.I think I'm going to be adventurous and try it one of their vegetarian offerings in the future. For dessert I had their orange pudding. This is rice pudding in an orange shell. It was pretty tasty too
Alright, I have been to a few Indian restaurants faithfully in indy, but aroma was the new kid on the block for me. Food is really good! Now I felt it was pricier than my other experiences, but inflation has hit over the course of that time, and tbh based on what was tasting I cannot say I'm upset, but I did notice it seemed pricier. Pricier in terms of nothing being included in your meal. The alcohol was also crazy overpriced. They didn't have some options im used to seeing like a vegetable platters, but based on my order "goat biryani" and samosas, I'm not going to complain about their menu. All the flavors I took in were outstanding. Ambiance inside is pretty cool! Quaint, dark, but does have that clear date night lighting! On a Wednesday night there was no one else there, so we felt we got the private dinner experience and had space to ourselves. They seem to do a lot of take out which makes sense based on what i tasted 😅. Close parking is actually pretty terrible, its right off of a one lane tight street into a tight parking lot. But i do believe you can park in the upland lot area, cross the street and head on in.
