Although touted as a floating restaurant, you’ll never know you’re floating.
There’s no movement whatsoever, not even a gentle rocking.
Their seating is all outdoors, and there’s no bad seat.
You’re on/in the river and it’s lovely. Our waitress was phenomenal and the kitchen was FAST.
Unfortunately the food was just so incredibly salty that it wasn’t good.
Wings and crab cakes were just… salt licks.
Wings were fried well, at least. I ordered a drink that was supposed to be frozen but was completely melted and separated by the time she brought it over - and she brought it over very quickly after I ordered it! My frozen drink looked nothing at all like the fun drinks everyone else is posting photos of.
It tasted fine, but I would be shocked if it actually contained any liquor like it was supposed to.
It just tasted like fruit juice. For atmosphere it’s top notch but the food just isn’t worth the cost.
For what I ended up spending we should have walked further down and dined at one of the nicer restaurants on the riverwalk. Parking is costly but that’s to be expected for this location.

Great stop for lunch! We had no wait to be seated.
All staff were very friendly and helpful.
The menu has delicious offerings like sandwiches and plenty of cold, refreshing drinks.
The river breeze blows through and gives a relaxed vibe.
Dog friendly.
I would love to dine here again!

What a great find after we visited the battleship USS North Carolina (which you can see from this restaurant).
Anne Bonny's is a floating bar & grill right on the river.
Great view, fun atmosphere, food was delicious and reasonably priced, drinks were yummy.
Nice breeze while dining and it's also pet friendly.
Staff were friendly.
The ships wheel pretzel is a must!
