AL Aqsa Restaurant | Halal Food in Jamaica

I went there for lunch.
I ordered chicken biryani and can of soda ($10 total).
Who ever cooked the food, has minimal to no experience making biryani.
Chicken is dry and dark.
Either they had bad left over chicken and just threw it in the biryani.
I know Bangla business practice: ETHICS is out the window.
Rice is extremely oily and you can almost call it: soup oil biryani and rice got to be from day before.
I tried not to throw it away because I don’t like to waste to food BUT extremely sticky awful rice quality was not tolerable.
Their place looked clean and well organized in terms of seating.
That’s the only positive I can dig out.
I will return one more time just to be fair and try other items.

If you’re craving Bengali food, DON’T order from this place.
I wanted to give them a chance despite the bad reviews and ratings, but it turns out they were right.
The food is very disappointing and leaves much to be desired, it is not even passable as “okay”.
I’m especially disgusted by the seekh kebabs - Both the taste and texture were off, it’s like they mixed the meat with something to increase the amount and then didn’t cook it through fully.
Adding food coloring to make them bright red only makes them look as bad as they taste 🤢 I’m being generous by giving two stars, they really only deserve one

Their hospitality to the customer was awesome.
The way they serve food It's amazing.
as a new restaurant i really appreciate them.
their service and food quality 100/100 best restaurant in Jamaica hillside. highly recommended
