Mexican restaurant
This is my 2nd time coming here for Sunday brunch. To be honest, both times the restaurant was half empty, which it’s never a good sign. The service was ok, it’s buffet after all and you serve yourself, but the waitress checked on me 3 or 4 times, which it’s good. Be aware coffee, iced tea or any other drink are not included in the buffet price, which it’s $14.95 +tax per adult. Not a bad price for buffet. Here’s what I liked: pozole, despite being watery and having lots of corn, the flavor was excellent.Oh, and they only have little cups for it, no bowls at all.So if you’re lucky, you’ll get 4 pieces of meat in that little cup.Haha! If you really like pozole, you may need 2 cups of it and make sure you don’t get all corn and no meat.No diced onions or peppers to accompany it though. No oregano either. Chile relleno was really good, they only have the cheese kind, not ground beef, but they were really, really good. Chicken mole was also good, small pieces of chicken (bone-in) though but mole sauce was really good. Fried beans had good flavor. Papas con chorizo were good, but cold, ugh. Rice pudding was ok. Salsa roja, salsa verde & pico de gallo were good. Green salad was good.Did not see any salad dressing though. What I didn’t like: egg dishes were cold, same with other dishes I tried last time. Bacon strips were chewy. Carnitas were chewy and had no flavor.Barbacoa was nothing special. Tortillas are cold, it’d be much better if the waitress brought tortillas to your table, in a tortilla warmer pouch or a tortilla warmer server( tortillero), that way they’re not cold when you try making tacos with them. Mexican rice had no flavor. I didn’t try all their dishes and not sure if I’ll come back for brunch again honestly.
Several friends and I recently had a large celebration for a local cycling group this past Sunday at Ajuua. We knew we could easily have over 100 people so we reserved the whole patio which is completely separate from the main dining area.It was closed in since it was a bit chilly out.Our party started at 11:30am but we were allowed to come in early to decorate. The staff had already had the tables nicely arranged with silverware in each place setting and included a couple of extra tables for a cake. The restaurant has a screen and projector to use and we ran a slideshow through a computer.Dillon was extremely helpful knowing what we needed to hook it up.It worked perfectly. We were allowed to stay for several hours, take pics, eat and mingle.Once everyone was done we all were allowed to pay separately for the brunch buffet. This is unheard of for such a large group, with NO contract. The lunch buffet was shared with the main area, the food was good with many options to pick from.Rosalinda the Asst Manager personally introduced herself and asked us if we needed anything.Dillon, RosaLinda, the wait staff were all very helpful and attentive. The waitstaff even helped with clean up.I would highly recommend Ajuua if you have a group celebration. They made it easy and were very accommodating! Thank you!
5 STARS all around!!!! This is our new favorite restaurant for some traditional Tex-Mex cuisine! This restaurant is about a good half hour drive away from our home, but we do not care because every single time, This spot never disappoints, and they have an amazing happy hour! Their food is always so tasteful, and hot! The drinks are delicious, and every time we go the staff is always so kind and tentative. It does get packed pretty quickly, so I will try to get there early for happy hour.We are just always so happy when we leave this establishment!
