Very low key but delicious place! Feels like you're sitting in their living room in the best way.Quick service and everything was delectable. With just the two of us we ordered the Ethiopian Love appetizer and Abugida Feast - we ate until we couldn't and still brought home a box full of food. There is a parking lot behind the building.A must visit!
Food was good. The people were friendly parking is a little limited so plan accordingly, there’s a wide selection of Ethiopian food and section for vegetarian.Gluten-free options. The restaurant is rather small and intimate, but it is really good for a unique experience! Definitely would recommend
We had this recommendation a long time ago from my mother-in-law, one day we went to a music event (Tosco Music in La Coalición Latina) we looked for food nearby after a beautiful event and the best recommendation was this, then we realized that his mom had already recommended it to us before so we felt it was a sign 🫨 It seems like you are visiting some friends home, it is a cozy house with African decorations, the menu is complete enough for all diets (vegetarian and vegan options as well) and they have a section next to it that explain certain terms for those not connoisseurs of Ethiopian food (like us) 👌 We ordered an Ethiopian tea that had very interesting notes of cloves, cinnamon and other aromatic herbs, very subtle and pleasant to the palate; some sambusas (yemisir and yesega), the sambusas were crunchy and the filling of both lentils and ground meat were excellent, we definitely wanted to order more to take home as a snack for later 😅😁 My partner ordered Beef Tibs and my God! We never thought they would serve it on such a HUGE plate! It is super entertaining to have to eat everything with your hands, it feels very connected to our main roots and the injera as an edible replacement of the cutlery gives it a unique touch; I on my side ordered Yegebe Alecha, definitely the ginger and curry broth along with the lamb is to die for 🤤🩷 The flavors are so different from what we are used to but they are definitely very traditional and exquisite combinations 🥰 Simply and sincerely a beautiful and very new experience, we are always happy to be able to experience traditional food from places that we do not yet know, and also to be able to immerse ourselves in the culture in one of the ways that we like the most: through food 😍🇪🇹
