Now and then...
when Vatos Taco's opened their location on Ming I was excited because their food at the Eastside spot was excellent.
Ming opened and the food was just as good if not better! Unfortunately over the past year the food at the Ming location has fallen off not to mention the rising prices.
3 street tacos about a half cup of rice and about 4oz of been will set you back $14.00 without tax.
Silver dollar size tacos...
you need at least 2 or 3 more at a cost of $3.50-$3.75 each to make it a meal.
Add a drink and your looking at $26-30 dollars for 1 person.
And that's one of the least expensive plates on the food menu.
Happy hour drink prices are good.
A Mondo draft beer will run you about $6.
Dinner for 3 cost us $110 dollers + $20 tip included: guac & chips, 5 street tacos w/rice & beans, a carne assada wet burrito, shrimp a la diabla plate, 2 Mandos, 2 margaritas and an ice tea.
Food was mediocre at best.
Flavor of the carne assada burrito was off and it was more tortilla than anything.
I will say the service was 10 out of 10! I recommend coming here for drinks after you have lunch or dinner somewhere else.
Maybe I'll visit their Eastside location if I go back for food.
Hopefully they haven't lost their touch there.
