September 23, 2024Vallarta Supermarkets is a gem in Bakersfield! 🌟 I recently visited and was pleased to find an impressive selection of fresh produce and authentic Latin products. The highlight was definitely the seafood department - I finally found pompano fish!
While the prepared food area was a bit slow, the caldo de res was comforting, though the beef could have been more tender. The Mexican sweet bread in the bakery smelt divine, even if I didn’t indulge.
Overall, it’s a vibrant market with great prices and a variety of options, including vegan choices! Can’t wait to return for more delicious finds! 🥑🍞
