I ordered a pound of chop brisket & a Whole BBQ chicken from the drive thru. We have visited here before but maybe I needed a reminder of why we haven’t been back. OMG, this chicken is so dry, I can’t believe anyone would serve such low end fare. TRBL. Butter baths comes to mind for most BBQ joints trying to keep their chicken moist and tender.This was dry like the sands of the Saudi dessert. The brisket was about as ordinary as possible. I don’t know how this place keeps its doors open for business serving up such pitiful efforts.Not sure what the problem is but this is terrible.
I had links with cabbage and black eyed peas. I enjoyed every bite. Was the sauce vinigary? Yes! But I like it like that. Was it the best bbq? No.But its pretty darn good. Filled my pre Tina Turner belly right nice. Much better than a burger. Glad I had an opportunity to taste and support. Not mad at all.
The best folks! Great food and wonderful southern cooking! I left my hat and noticed when we were checking out of hotel, gave them a call & they held on to it for me.So appreciative & grateful for a wonderful small business!
