I go here a lot on my lunch break.
The service is always super friendly and pretty fast, I prefer the drive through myself but been inside a few times and it’s a cool little place.
The food for the most part is really good I like the ribs and okra.
The chopped brisket seems to be a little too greasy for my taste.
But overall it’s a solid choice for a good lunch!

The draft selection includes some enticing options; we opted for the German brew, which proved to be enjoyable. In terms of food, the natural pulled pork sandwich was a highlight, delivering amazing flavors.
However, the fiery torpedo, priced at $5, felt a bit expensive for what it offered—poblano pepper stuffed with pulled pork and cheese, wrapped in bacon. Unfortunately, the El Efe brisket sandwich failed to leave a lasting impression on the taste buds.
On a positive note, the variety of sauces offered on the side was a noteworthy addition, enhancing the overall barbecue experience. In summary, True Texas BBQ within HEB grocery offers a mixed experience with highlights in flavor, a comfortable setting, and interesting drink options.
However, the pricing and inconsistent impressions from certain dishes contribute to a three-star rating.

Loaded baked potato is good but could use a bit more of the sour cream.
Brisket nachos are good but they are a bit skimpy on the cheese.
Peach cobbler I would avoid, it tasted like canned peaches and muffin mix.
Not what you'd really expect with cobbler.
Overall, it isn't a bad place just not spectacular, align your expectations accordingly.
