I battle with how to rate this.I always consider quality to portion size to cost ratio when evaluating a place...so maybe I'll talk this restaurant out differently this go round. Quality - quality of food is excellent.I can tell they use fresh ingredients.Palate wise, flavors were there. Now whether I could taste the difference that they used grass fed ice cream vs blue bell...I dunno.Maybe it's more the knowledge that the cow enjoyed grass vs being held up in a stall that might be the selling point? - Kale Caesar was good with an extra lemony profile. - Steak side was flavorful. - Creamy Tomato Soup perfect balance of tomato and cream. - Spiced Apple Crumble Cake not too sweet (which for me is a good thing).Maybe a little more crumble would be nice. Portion - I took most of my pictures with a plastic fork to give a general idea of portion size and quantity.Pretending I didn't know cost, maybe would say these are small to medium portions (leaning more on the smaller side). Cost - unfortunately I think this one is leading my rating.Everything was pretty pricey.Even being appetizers and a side of steak - each individually still pricey. And now that you know cost, you also start thinking hey wait...this portion size is so small for what it's priced at. So don't get me wrong I would for sure say flavor is good.Cost aside I would totally eat here again. If I had to pay for it...I'd have to say I pass.
Dinner on a rainy Friday night was great. I went out of my comfort zone and got a Tuna Poke bowl for my first time.It was amazing (picture)! Smoke Show Old Fashioned (left in picture) was good, but taste wise, it seems a bit pricey for a Cocktail - even one that comes with its own bottle of Hickory smoke. 4 Star on service because the staff had a miscommunication and we didn't get a server until 10-15 minutes after being seated. Loved the place, food, and staff; and would go back again for special occasions like we did that night!

My favorite thing about True Food is the ambience.Restaurant is so pretty, it’s not noisy and is kid friendly.Staff has always been nice but you do sometimes feel a bit rushed to order.Very complete menu, I’ve tried their pizza and is very good, the panini is also tasty, the burger has a nice mix of flavors, the lasagna is probably my favorite of all the dishes I’ve tried.Portions are not large so keep that in mind if you are very hungry. They have a nice selection of cocktails and are very good but small.
