Fantastic dining experience! Located within easy walking distance of the Vatican, this restaurant is an absolute gem! Walk down the stairs through an almost anonymous door, and you're greeted with the scent of delicious pastas and the great hospitality of the owner. We ordered 3 different types of pasta, each cooked to absolute perfection al dente, the sauces are rich and made with great tasting ingredients.
The shrimps, mussels and fish all fresh and grilled to perfection, complimented by the delicious sauces.
As a non-Italian, I'd have no idea about its authenticity, but as an overweight food lover I'm well qualified to proclaim it's fantastic. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food.
€12-15 for pastas and around €7 for dessert.
Portions are sufficient without being excessive and a great choice of wines to suit the dishes. Good overall ambience too.
Tasteful and simple decors provides a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Would recommend for anyone looking to have great tasting Italian food and much nicer than the tourist traps just outside the Vatican.
