I was walking past this shop & overheard a Caucasian man working at this pizza shop complaining to another worker about a man calling back in about an order. He said “ This N WORD couldn’t just wait “ etc etc.I think this is extremely problematic & unprofessional. There shouldn’t be anything that stressful about making pizzas that will drive you to use this language. There is a festival going on there is thousands of dollars & opportunity for a person like me to stumble across your business & become a consumer.Even if there wasn’t a festival you shouldn’t be making racially questionable remarks at work with the door wide open. Whoever the guy was is a LIABILITY & BAD FOR BUSINESS! I’m sure he will say it was something the customer said to them but it’s still no excuse. If you will behave like this I don’t trust you making pizzas. You could be doing anything to gain satisfaction over annoying customers.SHAMEFUL EXPERIENCE.Honestly I’m embarrassed for this young man. This happened 15 minutes ago.
I really like this place for their food and prices and the staff are usually great. That being said, they will not take any orders a whole 30 minutes before closing. They shut off online ordering and their phone and even of you walk in they won't take an order with their door wide open. I've worked food industry and pizza before.I know they want to get out and go home but closing tasks should happen the hour after posted business hours.Should still be taking order up until that time especially if your door is open.Ridiculous.
Saturday 7/1/23 minutes before 3pm I stopped in to order a calzone. The young man who greeted and cashed me out was very apologetic and upfront told me the wait would be an hour due to staffing and large orders they were filing.I went ahead and order.I was already there and I wanted to try it.Couple minutes later he came from the kitchen area and told me 10-15mins update while I stood by the door. I really appreciated the kitchen staff went ahead and made my quick calzone.Fallout from the pandemic, staffing issues everywhere and they are not immune to the fallout.I really appreciated how they tag team to continue their large orders and able to squeeze my calzone in the name of customer service, they worked together to satisfy all.The calzone was great too - see pics.My first time and I will be back for sure.5/5 would recommend to anyone.
