The Sip is a gem in Salem! 🌟 With a lively atmosphere and friendly patrons, it's the perfect spot to unwind. The wings are an absolute must-try - some of the best I've ever had!
Karaoke night is a blast, and there's ample space to dance and enjoy the live music. The bartenders are not just skilled but genuinely welcoming. Plus, their happy-hour deals can't be beaten.
Whether you're solo or with friends, you're sure to have a fantastic time! 🍻 Don't skip this lively dive bar!
Love the food, band night, the bartenders are AWESOME people, karaoke is a lot of fun, beer and mixed drinks are pretty cheap but made well and enough room to dance or just grab a table and relax. They have pool tables in the back, and it's a great atmosphere.
Great place to cut loose and search for booty. LOL That's a pirate reference and a double entendre. But seriously, it's a lot of fun and they have a real stage to sing karaoke on! There is enough room to dance, and the pool tables and dart board are in a back room that allows you to have a conversation without having to shout.
Best dive bar in Roanoke.Wings were the bomb.Staff are great and on point.Prices are great.Patrons are some of the kindest folks you ever want to meet. You’re missing a good time if you pass on it.Just don’t drink as much as I did. Once again, I visited the Pirate Sip.Wanted to be sure that my review was on point (my first time there I got blitzed). My first impression stands 10 fold. If you enjoy a friendly atmosphere and good folks, there is not a place in Roanoke/Salem that can hold a candle to the Sip.It’s noted as a dive bar and, for sure, it qualifies as such. But, it is much more.I promise you, you will not be disappointed and you will return. The food is delicious, though I haven’t sampled the full menu and, probably won’t ( I’m a wing nut and I’ve never in my 67 yrs.had better), the folks I’ve spoken with (and my dates love it). Chef Joe, no need to respond to this addendum (get a splint on that finger, duh) The bartenders are the best people you ever want to meet.Enough said: if you snooze on this one you lose.If I’m going out on my own or taking some, it is the only spot I’m heading too.I don’t do reviews lightly.Try it.You don’t like it, your first drink is on me (Joe G.). New as of 7/29/24. Hey Joe: Anne & I visited the sipp this past Saturday. Was looking forward to trying your famous hot dog.Ordered then was later told “sorry, we only have 1 dog (we wanted 3).Decided to go with burgers. Not sure who was cooking, but was told the menu was limited.Burgers came and, frankly was disappointed. They were on par with Burger King.A bit under cooked and cold.Fries were great.Thought I’d let you know. The Sipp is still the best and the only spot we frequent and that will not change. You still get high ratings from me.Nevertheless, even when you aren’t there, your full menu should be available.I send friends there and don’t want them to be disappointed.Chalk this one up as a fluke. The Sipp is still the best in my book and highly recommended.
