The OV Beach Tavern

We decided to walk on over to a neighborhood spot and try the OV beach tavern.
We brought our dog along and found seating in the outdoor patio.
The chairs and tables were a little wobbly but manageable.
Our server was kind and attentive, making sure to recommend the must have foods.
There was live music being played inside that we could slightly hear.
We wish they would have opened the large garage doors to the patio so that we could fully enjoy the music.
Our food came out quickly and was cooked to order.
My burger was delicious but I wish the tots had a little more seasoning.
There are free table games that you can use while hanging out, which was pretty fun and made the wait time nonexistent.
Fun local hangout spot that we will be frequenting!

Over-priced, under-served and portions, heavy drink prices with ice to the rim.
The chicken finger Cobb salad was all dark meat and not "eatable" in my opinion.
That left me with a small amount of spring lettuce, old eggs and 1 tomato slice.
No bacon or crumbled cheese...just a little shredded cheddar.
The dressing was a creamy balsamic and went right in the trash.
Cereal for dinner tonight.
If you are at the bar and want to smoke in there outside area; you can't, lol.
Must go out front door and "around corner" according to unfriendly female bartender on a Sunday night with barely any customers there and none in Their "outside area!" Sorry, but never again.

Clementine was the best server we have dealt with in many years.
I have ordered to go food from The Ocean View Beach Tavern in the past but this was the first time my husband and I sat down and had dinner there.
Very soon after arriving Clementine came to our table and introduced herself.
She was bright and cheerful and shared her knowledge of the menu.
She answered my many questions and when I asked her her favorites, she answered the question with detail on why these items were her favorite.
It really helped us make our food choices.
First I ordered the brussel sprout appetizer which I happily enjoyed.
My husband's is not a veggie guy so he just watched me enjoy them, ( it was Mother's Day).
For entrees he ordered a Smashed Cheeseburger with tots, I ordered a Smoked BBQ sandwich with side salad.
Everything was served hot, fresh and tasted amazing.
The experience would have been good without our superb server but she brought the experience to another level.
It shows you how good employees are worth more than most people think.
They are priceless.
We will be back soon! We might even call to see if she's working before we come in.
She was that good.
I highly recommend this restaurant for high quality food and top notch service in a casual, clean and relaxing atmosphere.
