The Mantu | Modern Afghan Cuisine

The food was wonderful, but... the salad was the star of the show (specifically the dressing).
I don't know if I made a mistake or wasn't paying attention, but I chose this restaurant because of the reasonably priced lunches that I saw on the website.
I may have ordered the wrong thing, but it seemed to match the website description exactly.
I ordered the tandoori chicken which seemed to be listed on the site for $14.
When I entered it, was recommended as a special.
However the bill listed it as $20 with an additional $3 for bread, which the website includes in the description.
So I ended up paying $23 for something I planned to spend $14 for, so almost double.
So in the end the food was great, but the value was disappointing.

We went to The manto on Friday eve..
We made last minute reservation and got the table..
We were 5 friends and hence got opportunity to try bunch of items from the menu..
We had cocktails and their off the menu old fashion was generously strong..
The lady was kind and honest to mention that don't expect authentic Afghani but think of it as modern take on fusion between American and Afghani food..
I must stay their bread was awesome and so was their potato skin appetizer...we also tried dal lentil soup, veg dumpling and bell pepper stuffed entre as well as aubergine main course..everything was flavourful..and their desserts were also great..overall all of us had great fun..very warm and welcoming staff.and will visit again for sure to try remaining dishes

This restaurant is a must stop.
I am so glad that we did.
The food and service were above and beyond.
Hopefully, you'll get Cheryl because she's phenomenal.
I wasn't completely satisfied with my mojito and she re made without any hesitation it and made sure that it was delicious.
We ordered the dumplings because we read the reviews and they definitely didn't disappoint.
The lamb shank, beef & lamb kabobs were also delicious, but just a bit spicy for a kid's taste nevertheless our daughters enjoyed them.
We will definitely come back when we are in town.
