My daughter and I decided to take a drive to Richmond to check out the area.
After driving around we stumbled upon the Carytown neighborhood.
it’s a really cool place to spend some time.
We decided to get something to eat and my daughter wanted Mexican.
We stopped at the Jalapenos Mexican grill.
It’s small but has a really cool vibe.
They started with free chips and salsa.
That’s always a good sign.
The chips were fresh and crunchy.
The salsa tangy and a little Smokey .
She ordered Quesabirra which is shredded beef and cheese.
It was moist and tender but it’s all meat so it will be heavy on your stomach best to share this meal.
I ordered the burrito and enchiladas combo it was Moist and delicious the re-fried beans were very creamy and smooth.
though a very good meal it was not very filling.
A very good and reasonable place to stop for a taste of Mexico.

Friendly service, loved the bar staff.
We had delicious margaritas.
The food here has a amazing great taste, so good we forgot to photograph before we ate it.
We love the tacobirrias. Would definitely go here again and highly recommend this place.

The most UNSEASONED overpriced Mexican food I’ve ever had in my life.
I ordered one of the most basic dishes possible and was very disappointed.
Then, the salsa with the chips was basically water with onions in it.
Save your money and go anywhere but here.
There are many other places with more authentic and flavorful dishes in Richmond.
