I just had one of the best steaks I have ever had! My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and went to the Gin Mill for the first time. Our server, Jessica, was so personable and attentive! I ordered the 16oz Ribeye with asiago crust and garlic butter.
It was so good, cooked to perfection (medium), flavorful, and juicy.
The asparagus on the side was great as well.
I had the Caesar Salad, which was meh.
The dressing had a sweetness I didn't care for and would have liked anchovy paste to add a little kick. My wife had the Blackstone Filet, which was 2 x 4oz tenderloin filets with bordelaise sauce and mushrooms.
It was a perfect medium rare and delicious.
She did think the sauce was a little salty and we both preferred my ribeye.
She got the brussel sprouts and house salad l, both of which were great.
She also had lobster bisque, which she likes and I didn't care for.
We are from New England and are used to a different flavor, though.
Maybe a little Old Bay seasoning. We can't wait to come back!!

Had a fantastic dinner tonight, food was excellent.
Everything had a slight additional taste added that was not overdone.
Balance was perfect, and prepared great.
Waitress was hustling but we got everything we needed.

Love trying new restaurant and The Gin Mill did not disappoint.
From the high booths to skull wallpaper the atmosphere was truly unique.
I had the strawberry salad and bang bang shrimp, both were amazing!
