This was my second time dining in… the food, the atmosphere, the service, and all is impeccable.The owners actually treat you with the utmost respect by showing great southern hospitality.They actually feel like “family”.I recommend this to be the first stop for anyone traveling to the city of Memphis! And if you want to get to know some Black American history as well and local history; just know that you’re in the right spot of town… The “Heartbeat” of Memphis; The Four Way!

Tl;dr- food and service were great; greens were meh So delicious! The greens weren't as good as the rest of my meal, but I will definitely be back to try other sides.The fish was hot and crispy and the cornbread was soft and slightly sweet.Prices were reasonable as well as the service.Food came out quickly and I was checked on regularly during my meal. I appreciated that the VIP wasn't overly sweetened. Too bad they don't ship to other states.I'll miss it when I head home.

This place was so amazing, it is as real as it gets for southern food.We came from Canada and wanted something outside of the regular downtown fair. From the clientele it was clear that the locals eat here.The service , the reception was a true testament to southern hospitality! We had liver and onions(stunning) , chicken friend steak , cornmeal dressing(wife's fav) , beans and beautiful picked tomatoes. All the staff were so happy and served us with a smile.
