I stopped for a quick bite.
The owner was very pleasant and caring.
I ordered my taco and it was prepared exactly as I ordered.
Prices are very reasonable.

August 2023: With the Taco Shack Bowl high school game at night my wife and I decided to start the day by having lunch at Taco Shack.
It has been a long while since I have been here and she never been here.
This place is not close to our home but it was a short drive.
The place was busy with a long drive-thru line but did find a parking spot. Inside this old shack was an extensive menu of choices.
There was plenty of seating and ordered a Chicken Fajita Taco with a side of Mexican Rice.
The staff was very friendly and the place has great atmosphere.
It did not take long to get our order.
The chicken taco was wrapped in a four tortilla and was delicious .
It has nice flavor along with the rice.
I see why the line of cars outside never got shorter or stream of people walking in. Austin definitely has the best taco spots and Taco Shack is one of them.

I love this place and have been coming here going on 13 years. It is where I was introduced to chorizo and salsa verde.
While my palette has significantly expanded I still come back to this location time and again The service is excellent.
The staff have been there forever.
The food is always good. I always get the taco breakfast bowl; chorizo, egg, cheese, onion, cilantro, and avocado - ALWAYS worth their salsa verde.
