Stella Bleu Bistro

We were in downtown Springfield at an appointment and decided to get lunch here.
The store is decorated very nicely inside.
There is a modern contemporary design with a choice of booths or tables.
We were met at the front station by the host and shown to our booth.
The seats were comfortable.
The wait staff arrived quickly to show us the menus and explain specials, and take our drink orders.
I ended up getting the sesame chicken, and my spouse got the fish and chips.
The food arrived in a very short time.
The chicken was on a bed of fried rice.
There was a flavorful sauce, and the meat was tender.
There was a whisper of heat on the back end of the spice blend.
I really liked it.
It's not really spicy but just a bit.
The fish and chips were nice and crunchy and featured a sweet honey drizzle.
That was a nice touch.
There was a big pile of fries served.
More than we could eat.
We both took home leftovers.
The service was great.
The staff checked on us several times, and the food was delicious.
Prices were fair as well.
I'm coming back to try other menu choices.

My husband and I had a date night here and weren’t impressed.
Although the restaurant is located in a historic building and very unique, the food was lacking.
I had the ravioli dish and would not recommend it to anyone.
It was by far the worst meal I’ve had at any restaurant.
It looked like slop you would feed livestock and the taste was just as bad.
With that being said, my husband’s pork chop was cooked perfectly.
The complimentary biscuits were tasteless and dry.
The menu is VERY limited and they wouldn’t allow any substitutions! We were told that they only make enough sides for certain meals and therefore cannot accommodate any substitutions (not even if you payed for an up charge either).
Not everyone likes certain sides that automatically comes with the meals.
Also, we were sat near a door, so every time someone would go out to smoke it would waft right to our table when they came back inside.
Very disappointing and we will not return which is a shame since we like supporting local businesses.

Wonderful service and food.
Great atmosphere.
A little on the pricey side but it is absolutely worth it and they have specials.
Pictured is the meatloaf special.
Delicious.
