Southern Junction

The wait to get in was about 40 minutes which told me all I needed know.
And guess what, I wasn’t disappointed.
The food was delicious and the staff was funny, entertaining, and made ordering a breeze.
The brisket was incredible and the sauce was delicious too.
Don’t forget to order the banana cream pudding before it sells out.
Can’t wait to visit again.

We were passing thru on Interstate 90 and decided to make a pit stop in Buffalo.
From the moment we stepped thru the door we felt home and among friends.
It's Mother's Day and we arrive 6 minutes before closing.
The bartender immediately suggested we head back to place an order for food! We did just that- Valeria took such good care of us.
Of course we wanted to try the brisket - she and the meat men created a masterpiece of food for us - we included the spicy mint and coconut curry sauces.
We asked them to make as a take out order and it was a gorgeous pan of food.
We also got a cinnamon roll (only available on Sunday) - as we left- the bartender smiled and was happy that we were happy.
What an excellent vibe here.
We drove two more hours into our trip - stopped for the night and couldn't wait to dig into this beautiful serving of food.
It was all we imagined it would be.
The flavors of curry on the brisket were so different than any bbq we've ever tried.
My personal favorite was the spicy mint sauce that made my brisket sing with delight.
The cinnamon roll was so decadent- with handcrafted whipped crème, a little icing, and crushed pistachios on top.
Oh, we came here because of an interview on CBS the Dish with Chef Ryan Fernandez- we knew we had to try it.

Wow, this place serves up some delicious food.
We had a party of 4 and everyone gave Southern Junction a 10/10.
The brisket was the best I've ever had, the barbacurry was packed with amazing flavor, the Ribs, pulled pork, sausage were tender and delicious.
The meat was so good that the BBQ sauces (mild, hot, curry) were barely touched, despite being absolutely delicious.
The sides were also phenomenal; rice, Mac and cheese, cornbread.
Even the milk bread and turmeric bread and butter pickles had us wanting more.
Counter style with indoor and outdoor seating.
The meat cutter and fellow staff were extremely patient and friendly.
Southern Junction is not to be missed.
