Sonic Drive-In

I've been coming to this Sonic for years since it opened and it used to be a great place for a burger or hot dog.
But honestly to whomever is running this location now needs to let someone better take over.
Or simply shut it down.
The wait in the drive thru is always 30+ minutes.
And the ice cream machine has inexplicably been "down" for over 4 months.
Long enough the paper sign on the speaker has worn off from weathering.
Their response is always that it's "getting fixed".
I don't foresee myself coming back for a few months, only after reading the reviews & health scores.
If it's still open.

Last time visiting this location.
The wait is always long and my food is always terrible.
If I wait anything past 5 mins for my food, I’m expecting hot fresh delicious food.
But I get cold and nasty food.
I went here today around 3-3:30pm after dropping off my niece at home from the express stop up the road.
I just wanted a bite to eat.
I usually get the large chili and cheese tater tot, the mozzarella sticks and a drink.
The tots were cold and the cheese sticks taste like they redipped them in the grease.
But the kicker was when I got ready to dip one of the cheese sticks in the marinara sauce, the sauce had some type of substance in it or something.
(See photos) I went to the door and spoke with a manager.
She was nice but it didn’t seem like she cared much.
I was a new pack, it wasn’t punctured or anything.
I opened it and that’s what was in the sauce.
But this experience was it for me.
I’m done with this one and the one in Gastonia.

I have eaten at this Sonic multiple times, because I live right beside it.
In 10 out of the last 10 times I’ve been here, the ice cream machine has been broken.
That is not an exaggeration.
It doesn’t matter what time of day it is, we can never have a milkshake.
The food is decent, but the service is incredibly slow.
The app does have some great value rewards.
If you are craving a sonic meal, you can go for it here, but don’t expect it to be quick, and don’t expect any sweets with your meal.
