Went to the Smoke Skybar for my husband's birthday today and it wasn't what he was expecting.
He thought it was going to be a bit fancier like Smoke used to be and he thought that since it said Skybar in the name that it would be on a higher floor on a balcony...but alas it was not, it was just a regular old sports bar. The food is decent.
The meat is all kind of dry, the beans are flavorful, the potato salad tastes like the kind you get at HEB, and the street corn was swimming in butter water so it was tough to taste anything but that.
We got unsweetened tea but they had no sweetener, luckily I always have some in my purse. The area where you buy food is tough to locate and once you go inside it's kind of sad and dark and they have fly tape hanging in there, but the workers are very kind and helpful. We might try it again because there were people there with nachos and those looked pretty good.

Everything about 'Smoke' is phenomenal! The food 😋 was exceptional [our favorites were the brisket & cream corn 🌽]! Loved 😍 the expansiveness of the seating.
While it was chilly, the fire 🔥 heaters made for a comfortable stay.
Great live DJ was more than willing to play requests.
All the staff we encountered were passionate & helpful.
During a very short stay in San Antonio, [4 days] we made 2 visits to Smoke! We look forward to future opportunities to frequent Smoke!

The vibe is nice.
The food took too long.
I waited for 25 min (no exaggeration) in the line to get food.
It was strange because the food I was waiting to order was already cooked so i don’t know the reason for the wait.
It was busy but it seemed similar to other weekends that which I visited this place.
(I had never had food previously)
