We had fried calamari -awesome calamari, tasted fresh, I had to ask if it was air fried because I could not taste the cooking oil on it, it is fried in oil. - we ordered the Minnesota style walleye and the fried Haddock. Everything we ordered was some form of fried, and it awesome. No dripping oil, no strong fishy taste, just beautiful, fresh, and filling. The portions are insane for the price. If I had not walked in with an empty stomach I would have needed a to go box. The server was nice and friendly, helped us with quick action. If I had to choose one negative aspect of the meal, the most I could say is it "felt" like it took a little longer to get our entrées, maybe 2-4 minutes. And when I saw the food I knew it must have been due to using fresh ingredients. Everything looked made from scratch, and tasted just as good. If you want fish for dinner, COME HERE!

Stefan very happy to hear you enjoyed everything! Thank you!
Easily the best jambalaya I've ever had.A bit more spice would have been great, but I get that they have to cook for the masses. Some Louisiana hot sauce did the trick. And the "Shucks puppies".....also incredible.Less doughy (yes, that's a word), but incredibly good! I'll absolutely be back!
Had such a lovely night out.Oysterfest was totally worth the 90min drive.Had a seafood feast for only $80 by combining the Oysterfest prices with happy hour prices at Shucks Fish House & Oyster Bar.Cup of oyster stew, 1lb peel and eat shrimp, clam strips, 1doz Harbor House oysters from Delaware, 1doz North Shore Gold from P.E.I.Canada and 3 draft beers. This seafood loving FL girl is a happy clam. I will say that the clam strips were way too salty, but not too heavily breaded. Also, not very meaty. The oyster stew was thick - like clam chowder and had a total of 3 oysters (which I thought was decent, since it was only a cup).I’m used to oyster stew being more thin (but maybe that’s just how it is up here in the Midwest). It was also way too salty for me, the bread piece served with it helped (a little).North Shore oysters were FIRE! Harbor House oysters were good - a little bigger than what I prefer, but were thin, so not too overwhelming. Both had a little bit of grit, but, they’re oysters, so they’re not gonna be perfect. The cocktail sauce had definite hints of Bloody Mary mix.Horseradish was nose tingling good.Beer was cold and didn’t taste off (which can happen sometimes with draft beer). The restaurant was on the smaller side and busy when we arrive just after 5.We sat at the bar, and despite the rush, had great service that was friendly and prompt.Overall, very happy with the experience and looking forward to making another trip to one of their other two locations on the future.
