The restaurant itself and the food were good. Our waitress was a middle-aged sour woman who didn't explain how the "menu of the day" worked. We were clearly unlucky because we noticed a younger man, a younger woman, and an older man who seemed pleasant and we were able to ask them to explain and he was really nice and patient.I think once you've been, you get the hang of it, but we explained it was our first time to her and she was downright rude. So, "menú of the day" consists in ordering any four dishes you want from the menu per person, whether they be starters or main meals, etc (which we found odd at first), but the quantities are smaller, which makes sense.Since we asked twice if it was any four items from the menu, our waitress seemed annoyed with us.It included dessert and we'd seen a brownie on the menu so we ordered it and then she ever so rudely said, no, only flan, ice cream or coffee. It would've been better if this were specified from the start as we would have chosen the buffet option which was only two euros more.Too late. Why am I explaining it her? So it doesn't happen to you.

If you are a sushi junky like me, this place will NOT disappoint you, and that is said in all earnesty. Myself, I was surprised to find this fusion-gem just on the 'wrong' side of the M30, where I also live. Shino is easily accessible taking the green line to the metro stop 'El Carmen' and a 5 min.walk takes you to a true sushi experience. From the center of Madrid it'll take you 15-20 min.in Metro, including waiting time. A great variety of gourmet sushi in all shapes, colours and ingredients. Your orders are made on the spot, and it makes a hell of a difference. This is now my favorite sushi-pusher, and did I mention that prices are decent, beer is 3,50 which is above average, but you'll pay your bill with a smile, having had 1-3 beers, yes, it's that good. The locale is nothing special, but do not be fooled, the food is. El Shino has my hottest sushi recommendation as for now! I'll add photos soon.
