Seafood restaurant, Fish & chips restaurant
In town for business and was looking forward to trying this place out.It did not disappoint! Ordered the clam chowder and the fish and chips.Late Jan time of the year and I appreciated the clam chowder being served piping hot.Not the best clam chowder I’ve had but was good nonetheless. The Scotty’s Famous Fish & Chips however was top tier. You can tell they used good clean oil from the taste of the food.Golden brown crispy coating and inside the fish was cooked perfectly. The fries were cooked the same, crispy with a soft center. The meal was served with a homemade cole slaw and homemade tartar sauce.Would recommend to anyone to give it a try.Just make sure that you bring cash as they don’t take cards. My meal was just under $20 so great value for the quality of food.
A hidden gem right here in Detroit. The place has been around since 1950.I enjoyed their perfectly prepared fish and chips. The cod is moist and tender and dipped in their signature batter.Everything was homemade, even the vinegar.Try it out.You will not be disappointed.CASH ONLY.
They have the best fish and chips here! It’s a hole in the wall cash only business but the food is always amazing.Came in on a Friday night during Lent so it was packed but didn’t have to wait long for a table.Had the half order fish and chips and subbed the fries for a baked potato.Service was great.Definitely recommend eating here.
